Editorials by Annie M. Knott
Volume 2

Mrs. Knott writes, “In Revelation we read that all the gorgeous show of materiality is to vanish in one hour, with cities, islands, and mountains, these all giving place to the heaven and earth of God’s creating. St. Peter declares the same in his second epistle, and bids us ‘look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness,’–the eternal realm of Spirit.”

Mrs. Knott was an early student of Mary Baker Eddy who was appointed by Mrs. Eddy in 1898 to serve as one of two women on the first Christian Science Board of Lectureship. In 1903, she was called by Mrs. Eddy to serve as an editor of the Christian Science periodicals. In 1904, she was appointed by Mrs. Eddy to serve on the Christian Science Bible Lessons Committee, where she served until 1918. In 1919, Mrs. Knott was elected to the Christian Science Board of Directors, being the first woman to fill that office.
